i have dell optiplex 3020 i7 4770 cpu 120 ssd and 500 hdd +8ram + 290 watts psu and i wanted to upgrade my gpu to gtx 1060 6gb. do i need another psu watts?

id say today is a good time to get a 1070 or 1080 8g for a good price of under 200 or at 200 and if ur lucky u can get a 1080 ti or a titan x and those have 12gb

Paid a bit more for a dell 3630 with SSD and 32gb of ram. Dropped in a used rtx 3050. So far it does ai upscaling well. The 465 watt PSU came with an 8 pin connector and there was plenty of space for the rtx 3050 which I will use for ai upscale. If I need more AI horsepower I might just use an egpu and another rtx 3050 as I need more vram, tensor cores, cuda cores, etc than raw bandwidth. The 3630 is so quiet I am not sure if this system is even on until I turn on the monitor.

Great review brother, honestly I bought one for the exact same reason of becoming a father to my first little man and being able to play when he just passes out on my lap or be able to grab it whenever he is relaxing in his swing is a game changer. Honestly it’s become my main “console”/gaming device and the as a personnel chief in the military I can do my work in it whenever I’m stuck on the couch with my son. You are so right it’s a great budget pc and man I’m truly happy I got it when I did.

I game at fullscreen mode. Whenever I clone my display it creates problems on both the capture on stream, and on my display on my gaming pc. The streaming video looks like the bottom part of the video has been dragged to the top (almost like screen tearing). On my gaming pc, my mouse cursor looks gigantic.

The AM5 platform is such a joke right now too, tiny upgrades to the motherboard, yet they have the audacity to say they need to sell their motherboard for an arm and a leg for the basic B650 mobo, it's insane considering the price i paid for an X570 back a few years ago would just give me a B650 mobo today, and that's sale price, that's not including our 7800x3d I'd want, or the ddr5 ram which will bring this over $1,000 CAD just to upgrade and ship

here's my biggest issue with my setup when i want to switch to a dual PC setup all of my monitors use display port, and i have 3 monitors, some of my streams involve me using all 3 monitors in OBS at once, so how do i do that i was thinking i could clone all 3 of my display ports to the 1 HDMI port and send that to the second computer somehow, but i don't know please help me solve this, i don't have the option of getting a new graphics card or a new monitor and i have to do all of this WITHOUT the NVidia control panel, because it just doesn't want to work

I didn’t notice you mention this but look for coolers explicitly listed as compatible with LGA 1150 sockets. Many coolers designed for LGA 1151 and LGA 1155 sockets will also fit LGA 1150, but you should confirm this.
